What Types of Tours are Offered and How Many Do They Carry?
Option 1 – Self driven Jeep tours that allow you to drive while seating 4-5 persons depending upon the Jeep selected. We will check with you on your needs when you book. You will follow our guide to ensure the best possible trip!
Option 2 – Cruise as passengers with our guide in the comfort of air conditioned Suburbans. We can take up to 5 persons on this tour. The guides will share a narrative of the Corolla Wild Horses and Outer Banks history, along with some other tales you may not believe.
How Old Must We Be to Rent a Jeep?
You must be 21 plus have a major credit card and your own auto insurance with full coverage, so please try to have auto insurance info with you. Otherwise, we will need to call to verify. No drivers under the age of 21 may drive. This is an insurance rule. (Sorry!)
Are your Jeeps Automatic or Stick?
We have automatic Jeeps only.
Do the Tops Come Off?
All Jeeps are convertible. If you would prefer the top up, we will do so at your request.
How Will We Know Where to Go?
Not to worry. We have a guide leading the way. All you have to do is follow along and enjoy the drive!
What If You’ve Never Driven a Jeep or In the Sand?
We will teach you how to use the vehicles and drive in the sand. You will learn why the Jeep is King of off road!
What is the Beach Jeeps of Corolla Weather & Cancellation Policy?
We require a Visa or Mastercard for a deposit to reserve. You may pay with a credit card or cash upon arrival. We ask for a 24 hr notification for changes or cancellation of your reservation. We will make every effort to re-book your reservation, however if we are unable, you will loose your deposit. The tours will go out rain or shine, with the exception of a thunderstorm. We reserve the right to cancel based on the weather conditions at the time of your reservation, so please show up. If you are late to the appointment and we have to leave without your group, you will loose the deposit. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions or concerns (252) 453-6141. We understand that stuff happens and we will work with you as best we can to accommodate reservation changes.

How Long do Beach Jeeps of Corolla Tours Last?
The tours start a half hour (30 minutes) after your arrival. This gives us time to check you in, introduce you to your Jeep, and use the bathroom before you leave. You will spend 2 hours on the beach driving and stopping for pictures (Don’t forget your cameras!). Please bring your drivers license and also your auto insurance info with you to save time, although we can call to verify if you don’t have your insurance, knowing you’re on vacation and may not have it.
How do we Find Beach Jeeps of Corolla Office for Check In?
Beach Jeeps of Corolla is located just one block South of historic Currituck Beach Lighthouse on the East side of Highway NC 12 within the Corolla Light Town Center, directly across from Currituck Heritage Park. Just look for the light yellow buildings on the North end of the complex with the bronze horse rearing up! We are in the back of the main building, so just come on around.
